How to grow
Planted in March to July, broccoli is grown from module plants. Grows well in NI conditions. Doesn’t like long continuous wet spells.
When planting out, always cover with netting or stick twigs in between the plants to deter the pigeons.
Eating
Buying and storing tips
Choose broccoli with green florets and firm stalks, and avoid any with yellowing florets. Bought fresh will keep up to 10 days.
